Emma Cawkwell is a freelance graphic designer who, in 2000, made the cunning move from publishing to graphic design. The history behind the name 7th Floor is no more complicated than the fact she started her freelance career whilst living (and working) on the seventh floor. Emma trained at the London College of Printing and then spent five memorable years with the advertising agency Active Ingredient (hi, Vic and Andrea). Emma designs in all things print.

The good stuff
Emma particularly likes the weird magic of Inky Mole and the the quirky doodles of skilled illustrator and friend Ruth Gwyther (website on its way). Whilst glued to her monitor, Emma relies daily on Radio 1's Chris Moyles Show and the occasional visit to the world of Kath and Kim or The Onion. Emma’s most memorable read is Hayden Herrera’s 'Biography of Frida Kahlo' and the latest treat source of choice is Labour and Wait.
